Climate neutral company

At STOK Emballage, we want to be part of the solution to creating a more sustainable world. That's why we continuously work to minimise our environmental impact. One way we do this is by exclusively using power from renewable energy sources at all three STOK locations in Denmark.. As part of our environmental focus, we have chosen to offset our CO2 emissions through a partnership with ClimatePartner. Together with ClimatePartner we have calculated our CCF - Corporate Carbon Footprint. This includes emissions from sources such as energy consumption and heating, business travel, office supplies and other materials we use in the operation of our business. Our CCF calculation shows us where we need to reduce our carbon emissions. We update the calculation every year to monitor our progress and identify further areas for improvement.

CO2 compensation through double project

The offsetting of CO2 emissions is done through our support to the dual project Clean oceans and the wind farm Vader Piet via ClimatePartner's project portfolio. The Clean oceans project, which works to stop plastic waste from reaching the world's oceans, supports local plastic waste collection in Haiti, Indonesia, Brazil and the Philippines. Collected plastic waste is dropped off at local collection points, where collectors receive money, food, drinking water or school fees for the plastic waste collected. The project aims to reduce the amount of plastic waste discharged into the oceans and to recycle it as a raw material for new products. You can read more about the Clean Oceans project on the ClimatePartners website. The second part of the double project is the Vader Piet wind farm in Aruba. The wind farm consists of 10 turbines with a total capacity of 30 MW. Vader Piet is built on the east coast of the island and helps to ensure an independent energy supply for the island. The wind turbines contribute 126.1 GW annually, equivalent to approximately 15% of Aruba's total energy production. Read more about the wind project here.

ClimatePartner certificate

Through our certificate, which you can download from our certificate page, and the ID number it contains, you can track our carbon offset on the ClimatePartners website.
